Requirements
- There are no formal prerequisites for this course.
- Participants must be physically able to perform chest compressions on a manikin while kneeling.
- Students should have sufficient English language proficiency to participate fully in instruction and assessment.

Course Description
This programme provides a practical foundation in paediatric emergency care, with an emphasis on real-world application and hands-on learning.

- Child CPR (full sequence)
- Infant CPR (full sequence)
- Management of choking in children and infants
- Safe use of an AED in paediatric emergencies
- Head injuries
- Common medical emergencies

Participants leave the course with the practical knowledge and confidence required to respond effectively in emergency situations involving children.
Duration
The course takes approximately 4 to 6 hours to complete. This includes revision of modules and assessment.
Assessment
Participants are assessed through:
- Practical evaluation of CPR skills
- A short-answer written examination
Students must achieve a minimum score of 80 percent to successfully complete the course.
Certification
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Medicore Medical Services certificate valid for two years.
Renewal
Certification is valid for two years. To maintain qualification, participants must complete the full course again prior to expiry. There is no shortened refresher programme for in-date certificates.
